Situated high in the kasbah, Dar Nour enjoys tremendous panoramic views over the city and the Straits of Gilbraltar.  Well known for its excellent small restaurant, this 7 bedroomed characterful guest house arranged on many different levels boasts many unusual features include the works of art, fascinating pieces of sculpture, wall hangings and lots of books on every imaginable subject. 

Accommodation: There are 5 spacious suites and 2 rooms, all with en suite bathrooms ranging from 20 - 32 sq m. Suite Nour, the largest, comprises a bedroom, a reading/TV room and a sitting/writing room with a desk and lots of helpful material about Tangier. 

Location: In the heart of the kasbah in a spectacular location, situated above the 14th century city walls of the Kasbah, not far south of the main port on the top of a hill.

Services and other points to note: Lovely exterior decor - white walls, blue chimney stacks, comfortable chairs and stylish tables - all designed to invite you to explore the different levels. The interior is equally captivating with rooms on different levels and changes of level within each public space. It lives up to its name "House of Light".  The staff are very happy to assist you with taxis, visits to places of interest, a hammam etc. Safe parking is available close by.

Meals: Breakfast is served on the terrace at a communal table and is offers a tremendous selection of local pastries and pancakes, honey, yoghurts, savoury flatbreads and fresh fruit.  Dar Nour has a reputation as one the best places to eat in the town. They also cater very well for vegetarians.
