VILLA MAROC | ESSAOUIRA

In a convenient location in the medina, Villa Maroc is composed of 4 interconnecting riads close to the main square by the port; it is well known as the first guest house of its type in Essaouira.  With relatively modest yet comfortable rooms, this boutique hotel with spa is decorated in the typical Moroccan style. The colourfully furnished terrace has fabulous views of the coast.

Accommodation: Set around the patios of 4 intercommunicating houses, the individually styled rooms are decorated in traditional style and generally in muted colours. There are suites, some with sea views, or double superior rooms that may take an extra bed; several twin rooms and 2 pairs of interconnecting rooms suitable for families. All have en suite bathrooms.

Location: Well located with very easy access to all points of interest, just round the corner from the atmospheric Place Moulay Hassan, the main square, which is the main thoroughfare between the town and the lively and photogenic port. Convenient to beaches, port, the main square and town, all of which are within 3 or 4 minutes walk.

Services and other points to note: Small shop and library. Moroccan Hammam and an Oriental Spa on the ground floor, where you can relax with our argan-oil massages or Shiatsu.  

Meals: Breakfast is included, normally taken on the roof terrace which enjoys lovely views of the vast sandy bay. Evening meals are obligatory and of high standard (but not included in the price) – Villa Maroc is renowned for its cuisine: each day there is one fish, one meat and one vegetarian option. Dinner and lunch is served in the homely restaurant, which is composed of a series of salons interlinked by small openings and niches so that you can dine intimately but without feeling isolated.
